Organisational Effectiveness
Egan Associates has also worked with Government organisations undergoing restructure and reform embracing the documentation of new organisation structures and key staff accountabilities within those structures and subsequently advising on remuneration inclusive or exclusive of opportunities for performance aligned payments.
We have been involved in the development or refinement of performance management systems and the provision of guidance on issues including performance pay and retention. In this latter context we have also assisted Government organisations, progressing through a process of corporatisation and in some instances prepared for either a trade sale or ultimate public listing.
Egan Associates has provided support on a State and National basis to Government Departments or Agencies seeking advice on the structure and co-ordination of national functions involving States or not in the role prescription of advisory bodies or formal Boards operating under statute.
In corporatised environments Egan Associates has been engaged to advise on private public partnership (PPP) remuneration arrangements, has provided advice to Government organisations in the energy, health and transport fields, in public broadcasting, postal services and logistics.
The remuneration arrangements and organisational effectiveness for this sector are complex, technical, political and of significant public interest. Each of these factors presents their own challenges in designing appropriate and effective reward strategies for the many organisations and structures within government.
Government continues to call upon Egan Associates because we bring:
- a deep understanding of the sector, at all levels and manifestations
- a sound understanding of the structural roles and responsibilities within Government, the potential for conflict and confusion and the requirement for transparency
- a reliable voice based on delivering actionable solutions across a spectrum of challenges, often unique to Government,
all supported by accumulated data from on-going research and analysis, and unique project knowledge derived from Egan Associates’ decades of service to Government.
